St. Joseph's Parish School of Religion (PSR), is a Catholic faith formation program for children who attend public school (ages 4 - 12). The program is held in the Educational Center on Sunday mornings, following the 8:00 am Mass. A light snack is provided at the beginning of class and classes conclude between 10:00 - 10:15 am. There are service project opportunities each month during class time, some of which consist of traveling to the local nursing home.

The fall/spring session will be exploring "God’s Plan in Scripture", from Ascension Press. This program will take kids on an amazing journey through the story of God's salvation, beginning Sunday, September 8, 2024, and concluding May 18, 2025.

Registration will take place at St. Joseph, in late July & early August, with an option to register online. Please check the calendar and news feed for details at that time.

St. Joseph welcomes anyone who would like to volunteer to be a catechist for our PSR program. Before working with our youth, all catechists must have Virtus child protection training and a background check, which is available for free by the Jefferson City Diocese.

St. Joseph's PSR program is hosting a summer session "Discovering the Saints of Summer", for all interested children, age 5 and up. This session will consist of a once-a-month class component with fun activities, and a once-a-month service component with fun activities, engaging with the residents at Ashbury Heights.

The session will begin on June 9, 2024, following the 8:00 am Mass and run for about an hour each time. If you are interested in your child(ren) participating and would like a schedule or more information, please contact Amy Nation at dre-sjf@outlook.com or 660-248-2439.

St Joseph has teamed up with St. Mary in Glasgow to form a Middle School Youth Group and a High School Youth Group. This will be a place where teens can have fun while discussing topics related to their life and faith.

Dates will soon be posted at church and online, check back later.

The meetings include games/activities, discussion, fellowship, and service opportunities; refreshments are provided. All interested students are welcome.
